Rituraj ki Kahaani in the TV industry started with Zee's Tol Mol Ke Bol. Later, the versatile actor with unusual looks went on to do Sadma (DD),

Jaane Kaha Mera Jigar Gaya Ji (Sony) and Banegi Apni Baat.

Rituraj is one of the few actors' around who has been consistently experimenting with his roles. Much appreciated for his negative act in Kahaani, currently Rituraj is also been seen in a comic avatar in Jeete Hain Jiske Liye.

In a quick interview to Tellychakkar.com the actor sums up his success mantra in life.

"One has to work with a lot of non actors today"

Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Tol Mol Ke Bol gave me the recognition and the will to shift base from Delhi to Mumbai. Over the years the industry has changed in a variety of ways. Earlier, actors were appreciated for their acting. Today you are taken in a show if you're a star and not because you're a good actor. Talent is not given the merit and one has to work with a lot of non-actors.

Also, I feel bad that there's very little focus on the story, script and characters. The emphasis is more on completing the episodes and getting done with the day's telecast. Also, one has to go through the grind of a daily soap. It's like a factory at work.

"Right now Sanjay Doshi is in jail"

Last I worked for Balaji in K Street Pali Hill and Kahaani. After K Street Pali Hill went off air I was offered roles in Karam Apnaa Apnaa, Kesar and even Qayamath but somehow things didn't work out. I am still on the list of actors of Kahaani in which my character Sanjay Doshi is in jail. I may be brought back as per the story requirement. My relationship with Balaji goes a long way. I acted with them in Bhandhan and Ghar Ek Mandir. Most of the producers I have worked with have repeated me in their shows.

" I don't mind greying my hair"

In Ek Ladki Anjani Si I am playing Sai Deodhar's father Abhinav Raheja who has a gory past. Ayesha played by Karishma Tanna is my illegitimate daughter. I am in jail for killing Ananya my own daughter. I have no issues greying my hair or playing a father.

"I am trying to be different than Maddy"

I am playing Tarun Moolchandani. He is Ramona's husband played by Maninee Mishra. It's a positive character with a comic side. My character is loud but not gay although it does has some feminine shades to it. I have worked hard to portray the character convincingly and am doing it very differently from what Maddy did in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi.

"I am a romantic"

I am a die hard romantic by nature. I love to write poetry as well as philosophy but no one is allowed to read it. I am also into sports. I enjoy playing Lawn Tennis as well as football.

"My children are my best friends"

I have two children, Jahaan and Adhiraj. I love to spend time with them on a daily basis. I take them out for sports, movies, shopping and holidays. They are my best friends.

"I relate to saas bahu soaps"

I relate to saas bahu shows as there's a lot of opportunity to perform in such shows. I like all kind of stories. People recognize me because of my Kahaani act instantly because of that character's success.

"One should enjoy life"

I believe one should enjoy life and yet remain within limits. This way one stays healthy for a long period of time.
