After
jubilating 50 successful performances of
her play, The Perfect Husband across
the globe, Poonam Dhillion has now tied
hands with Yatri to co-produce its sequel
- The Perfect Wife!
Meet
The Perfect Wife - Poonam Dhillon

It was a hush-hush affair till she finalised
the star cast and the production house to
work with her in unison. Letting out the
details Poonam says, "It was in the
planning stages hence was mute about it.
Now I have finalised the actors and everything
has fallen in place. I am going for an all
new cast; most of them not being known names
but are very good on stage. Suraj Thappar
will obviously play the husband (as in the
original play) and I will play 'The Perfect
Wife'. The production is going to be
shared between Rekha Sahai's Yatri group
and my home production, Plan."
The Perfect Husband belonged to
the comedy genre; will sequel compliment
it? "Yes, it will be a comic with a
message. That is how all my plays are."
Few people know that Poonam is the first
actress to own a commercial website of her
own, however for a while now, her site has
been incurring problems. In fact it has
been non-functional. She subdues the problems
and voices, "Yes there were many glitches,
and I was not happy with the way things
were functioning. I have changed the web
managers and we are looking at a completely
new look for the site."

Poonam has not only got into the site's
advertising aspect but also into the commercial
side; she has licenses to commercial gateway
and payment gateway. So what are the products
she would put on sale on her website, "Well,
it will retail costume jewellery designed
by me, apparel line showcased by Payal Singhal
and Shaina N.C advertising her sarees. I
have not roped in many designers as I am
particular about the size of the garments.
When people buy on the web it has to be
in accordance with their taste and size.
When I have that range to offer, we will
broaden our horizons."
Voila! Now we have a pragmatic woman who
has punched the right keys of the board.
With her play she pulls in the masses and
her avant-garde website, the niche crème
who understands that e-commerce is the future.
