Saxena's maiden production, Kulvaddhu
seems to be notching up for some real drama
in the coming days. It's been just a few
months from its launch, and the hero of
the show, Imran Mashkoor Khan aka Shaurya,
was unceremoniously dumped. Reason: high
handed attitude on the actor's part!
As per the norms of the industry, somebody's
loss is going to be somebody's gain! And
the lucky guy who has been chosen to fit
in Shaurya's shoes is none other than, Sachin
Sharma. He could not have asked for a better
opportunity to make a comeback after his
impressive act in Vaidehi.
An excited Sachin says, "Yes, I have
been approached by the production house
for Kulvaddhu and my shoot is scheduled
to roll in a couple of days. My character,
Shaurya, is a far cry from my earlier role
in Vaidehi. With my vicious portrayal
in the latter, I made a lot of people hate
me, whereas in Kulvaddhu it will
just be the opposite! In fact this role
has close shades with my character of Krishna
in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki Its is a
role that people will not sympathize with
but will also look up to.."
How does he plan to fit in as a replacement,
to which the actor replies, "I know
it is a challenging task, lending appeal
to a character that was not originally yours.
But, I I believe this can be taken care
of if one is a good actor. I will try my
best to make my uniqueness come alive through
Shaurya." And when asked about his
equation with Imran, the actor replies quite
humbly, "I have no idea who Imran is."
Apart from Kulvaddhu, Sachin has
also signed a film titled Mummy Ji,
which also stars big names like Jackie Shroff
and Kiran Kher.
And yes, Sachin's just not the only new
addition to the Kulvaddhu family.
Actor Tarun Khanna (of Sarkar and
Kittu Sab Janti Hai fame) has also
been roped to play a top notch lawyer. The
story of Kulvaddhu has reached a
point where the protagonist Niyati is a
suspect in a murder case. In order to save
her from the gallows, the Rathore family
will hire Dhanraj Singhania (played by Tarun),
the best lawyer in the country who is reputed
as a legal shark.
Adds Tarun, "I come in as a high profile
lawyer, who realizes that Niyati's case
is not another cake walk victory for him.
Later, in the plot I will add a surprise
dramatic twist which I cannot divulge at
the moment."
But still all vigilant eyes will be angled
on Sachin who takes the reigns as the new
protagonist. Would the new face of Shaurya
be able to strike a chord with the audiences?
It's a matter of some more weeks before
we get an honest answer.
