An Amitabh Bachchan film festival is currently running on Max. The festival titled Ab Tak Bachchan includes the popular, masala fare that Bachchan is known for.

Almost every actor worth his craft considers Bachchan an icon and dreams of doing roles portrayed by the Big B. We spoke to some of television’s big names on their choice of a Bachchan film and that one AB role that they would like to essay.

Gaurav Gera:
The movie would be Sholay. After years it is still known and people remember every detail about the characters in the movie. These days very few filmmakers focus on the supporting casts. The director has highlighted every cast in the movie. The characters Vijay-Veeru are legendary, their friendship is talked about. Infact, the interesting part was that both the characters were totally opposite. One was this happy-go-lucky kind of a guy and the other was total serious character.

Shakti Anand:
Shakti is one movie I can associate myself with. It is a story of a son rebelling against his father. Sometimes, even I use to feel that as a youth. This is one story which is close to my heart and ofcourse there is affection due to the title also. Amitji has been an intense performer in Shakti. I think the greatest achievement for any actor is to be appreciated by a director for his performance.

Mukul Dev:
The Sharaabi character is one of the best portrayals. He has made the character look so handsome. It is one character who is drinking and yet been portrayed with so much of dignity and grace. This is something I do not find even in a Devdas character. There is so much romance in the character and it makes you like the character.

Rohit Roy:
I would have loved to be in the movie Agneepath. The voice, the character made the film a total entertainer. Amitabh Bachchan films have a great entertainment value and that is what makes you love him.

Vikas Bhalla:
Zanjeer has been one of the most amazing movies of Amitji. The performance has been flawless, the script was amazing. This is one movie that has made him and can make anyone in it - a star. It was in news that there were many people who had been approached for this role before it came to Amitji. He was the person to give it full justice. Hats off!
