After
being upstaged by Colors for the second
spot, Zee is now keen on reclaiming its
place back. The competition in TV industry
is intense and thus there’s no room for
any weak link. Miditech’s daily Parrivaar
– Kartavya ki pariskaha couldn’t
generate the desired results and thus it’s
been pulled off air.
Confirming the news, a source from the
production says, “Yes, Parrivaar
will wind up by November 14. Despite getting
an extension, we weren’t able to get required
TRPs. Besides, new shows are waiting in
the wings and thus some one had to make
way.”
Neetha
Shetty who plays Urvashi
Nerulkar says, “I have finished with my
part but I’m saddened to learn that the
show is going off air somewhere around 10
November. What surprised me was that our
show had earlier got an extension up to
April but it’s been pulled off much before
it.”
Lead actor Sachin Sharma had this to say,
“I haven’t received any official communication
from either the channel or the production
house. However, that’s what I’m hearing
about the show. Rumours of Parrivaar
going off air have been doing the rounds
for a while but just a month back we had
got an extension. Bu this is television
and you can always expect the unexpected.”
Meanwhile it’s buzzed that Shakuntalam
Films’ new show Maa,
which was earlier tipped to be a matinee
show, will probably replace Parrivarr.
Shyam Bhattacharya informs, “I’ve been hearing
all sorts of things with regards to the
time slot for our show. Last what the channel
told us was that Maa will be an afternoon
show. Since then I haven’t heard anything
from them.”
