New comedy series Kaante Ki Takkar on Sony will have a multi-talented host. It is the vivacious Purbi Joshi who will be seen hosting this hilarious show.

This is the first time that Purbi will host a show. She is known for stand- up comedy but now she will be hosting a stand- up comedy show. She says, “Kaante Ki Takkar is not just about hosting. It is about bringing my personality across to the audience. I simply don’t have to read from the teleprompter. I have to use my own comic sense and timing. It will be my style. It is more than hosting. The production house roped me in because I am associated with comedy.”

Though the judges and contestants of Kaante Ki Takkar are from Comedy Circus , the host Shruti Seth who has been hosting both the seasons of Comedy Circus is missing. Vipul Shah, the producer of the show explains Shruti’s absence, “We wanted to give a different feel to the audience. If we had asked Shruti to host the show again, then the audience would have got the impression that it is the same show. It is a brand new show.”

Given Purbi’s skills the show has undoubtedly raised the bar.
